Universal Soldier (1992)

Luc Deveraux and his team of soldiers embarked on a mission to safeguard a village in Vietnam in 1969, but when Luc arrived, he discovered that sergeant Andrew Scott had slain all of the residents and the men in his squad.

Scott and Luc battle and murder each other. Later, a second squad recovers their body and cryogenically freezes it. A decade later, Luc and Scott’s bodies are used in the project UNISOL to create universal soldiers.

Both have lost their memories and become excellent soldiers, but Luc begins to regain his memory and disobey all commands following an incident.

Luc and Robert survive the deadly incident in the previous film, which causes a lot of destruction and gains media coverage. The government cuts the funding of the UNISOL program. However, a group of smugglers, with the help of the CIA director, gains the command of universal soldiers.

Smuggler starts to use universal soldiers for diamond smuggling, and which Luc learns about all this. He tries to stop them, but his problem increases when he learns that smugglers kidnap his newly found brother and news reporter Veronica Roberts.

Universal Soldier III: Unfinished Business (1998)

After the previous film’s events, Luc Deveraux and Veronica Roberts team up to expose the UNISON program. Both of them goes to Canada in the Universal Soldier unit so that they can get some proof.

At the unit, they learn about a new program under section GR-44, but both of them get caught but manage to escape and hide in the city. To tackle Luc, CIA Deputy Director Mentor and Dr. Walker prepare to create the most powerful universal soldier, UniSol, the clone of Luc’s brother, Eric.

After the first film’s events, Luc Deveraux is reverted to normal via genetic procedures and works for the U.S. government with his partner Maggie to refine and perfect the U.N.I.S.O.L. program.

All the new universal soldiers are more powerful and are connected with an artificially intelligent computer called S.E.T.H. dedicated to reducing the use of human soldiers. Everything is going fine, but suddenly government shuts down the program.

In retribution, heads of S.E.T.H. plan to attack humans with an army of universal Soldiers to take down the world.

Universal Soldier: Regeneration (2009)

The commander of a terrorist organization kidnapped the daughter and the son of the prime minister of Ukraine and demands to leave all his soldiers who are kept in prison or kill his daughter and son. Besides, the terrorist organization hijacks a nuclear power plant and plants a bomb to explode within 24 hours.

The scientist who is helping them in the mission previously used to work in UNISOL program. When the US government learns about this, they make a plan to terminate the terrorist group.

Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning (2012)

John awakens from a coma and finds all his family members murdered in a home invasion. John, who is still not fully conscious, identifies the attackers as Luc Deveraux with the help of FBI agent Gorman. To locate Luc, Gorman activates the next Gen universal soldier, agent Magnus.

Magnus starts to work, but the clone of Andrew Scott manages to inject a serum that frees Magnus from government control. Then Scott and Deveraux meet Magnus and explain to him the reality of the UNISOL program, and turn him in against the government.
