Barbershop (2002)
Calvin Palmar Jr. finds it hard to run the Barbershop, which he inherited from his father, and sells it to a greedy loan shark, Lester Wallace, without letting anyone know about it. Lester, after buying the shop, makes a plan to turn the shop into a strip club.
After working a day outside, Calvin learns the importance of the shop for his family and surrounding people and decides to get the shop back. Lester first ignores him and then asks him to pay her to double the amount she paid for the shop.

Gina, a stylist at the beauty shop next door, is giving a tough competition to Calvin, and he is again finding it difficult to run the shop. After few days, Calvin and their family learn that a mega-franchise barbershop will be constructed near his shop.
Calvin has two options: to sell the shop to urban developers or face the competition, which might take them entirely out of business.
